OUR CAATINGA
THE CYCLES OF THE CAATINGA
A biome that knows how to wait.
For months, the Caatinga seems to hold its energy. The green fades, the leaves fall, and the landscape takes on the tones of the backlands. Then the rain arrives. In a short time, what seemed dormant is transformed. The vegetation responds, flowers emerge, and a new cycle begins. For the bees, it is a time of food. For the honey, the construction of a new identity begins.

FLOWERINGS
A diversity that reaches the honey.
The Caatinga does not produce a single type of honey. Different species bloom at different times and in different places. Quipé, cassutinga, caatinga-de-cheiro, juazeiro, and other plants offer bees floral resources that change across the territory and the seasons. These differences can be revealed in the color, aroma, flavor, texture, and natural crystallization of each honey. That is why, for Bravio, knowing the origin is just as important as knowing the product.

PEOPLE & TERRITORY
More than landscape.
The Caatinga is also a lived territory. Within it are communities, farmers, beekeepers, knowledge transmitted across generations, and different ways of living with semi-arid conditions. For us, preserving the territory also means recognizing the people who are part of it.

POLLINATION
Small in size. Essential for the territory.
When visiting flowers in search of food, bees also transport pollen between plants and participate in pollination processes. It is a relationship that connects vegetation, blooms, food, and the continuity of natural cycles. In the Caatinga, the Apis mellifera bees and different species of stingless native bees coexist. For Bravio, looking at honey also means looking at the bees and the environment on which they depend.
Each bloom carries a landscape, a time, and a story.
OUR COMMITMENT
From the Caatinga where we originate, also arises the commitment to care.
Bravio's relationship with the Caatinga goes beyond honey production. Through Amigos da Caatinga (Friends of the Caatinga), we bring together initiatives that connect producers, companies, and the territory around a common purpose: to value those who make a living from beekeeping, strengthen the presence of bees, and contribute to the conservation of the Caatinga's biodiversity.
Caatinga Partners
Development, recognition, and appreciation of beekeepers and meliponiculturists who share with Bravio a commitment to quality, traceability, best practices, and the conservation of the Caatinga.
Adopt a Beehive
A way for companies to participate in initiatives linked to native bees, the biodiversity of the Caatinga, and the appreciation of the people who care for this territory.
